History of Graphic Art are the most important point which need to be learn in the starting of creative field. These graphics are visual which can be found on the surface such as wall, a canvas, a pottery, a computer screen, paper, even to the landscape itself. The term “graphic” refers to the innovation of charts, logos, graphs, drawings, symbols, geometric designs and so on. And “Design” refers to a composition of graphic. Graphic design is an art or walk of life of combining Graphics and Designs to create a meaning full impact on a viewer.
Revolution of graphic design is from thousands of BC which eventually become the only visuals of there time to learn about them, which is as follows:
Ancient Cave Graphic Art
Bhimbetka rock shelters
Some designs left by hunters in the “bhimbetka rock shelters” in India (Madhya Pradesh) before 7,000 BC.
One more committed of Art located is in Mumbai. Harbour to the east city of Mumbai in the Indian state of Maharashtra. Elephants Caves are a UNESCO world heritage site and a collection of cave temples mainly dedicated to the Hindu god shiva. It CONSISTs of five Hindu caves and a few Buddhist stupa collection of that time back to the 2nd century BCE.
Writing Graphic Art
The hieratic writing came around 3200BC and been socialise to use in various purpose like legal texts, personal letters, historical accounts, literary writings, medical texts, mathematical theorem, administrative documents and also religious documents.

Book of Kells

Book of Kells is also known as book of Columbia which was believed to be created in 800 AD.
Scholars place these manuscripts together with scripts, artistic style and textual tradition. These manuscripts found many iconographic and stylistic traditions.

Let come to the late 19th century where the the graphic design turn it self hobby to a profession in the west due to the job specialization process because of the new technologies and commercial possibilities brought by the industrial revolution.
